
ABOUT
Graduated in Film Studies from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Jordana Beck has been active in the film industry for eight years, directing nine short films, including two shorts in the United States and two co-productions with the same country. She specialized in film directing at Wayne State University and also works as a producer, screenwriter, and first assistant director. Her experience spans over 30 film productions, including shorts and feature films.

Her directorial debut came with Lovely World (2023), which won Best Short Film in Santa Catarina at the 27th Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul (FAM) Festival. It was screened at festivals across Brazil and internationally, including the XX FANTASPOA.

In 2023, she participated in the 48 Hour Film Project, winning five awards with the film See You At Four (2023), including "Best Directing" and "Best Film." The project represented Brazil at Filmapalooza 2024 in Lisbon. Previously, Jordana worked as the first assistant director on the short film "The Red Ribbon", winner of the 48h Ibero Challenge 2021 and over seven other awards. This film was showcased at the Short Film Corner of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

In 2024, she represented the South American unit in the Yes We Cannes Film Competition, achieving the remarkable feat of producing a film spanning all seven continents within 48 hours.

In 2025, Jordana Beck is set to direct the feature film "Crochet Club" (written by Kristel Kardeal and Ana Pacheco) under the production of Rockset. It was also selected for the RIO2C Pitching Creator, FAM, 7th CINEPITCHING, and FRAPA.
